Table-Top Patio Heaters
When a customer makes the decision to purchase heating equipment for a patio, their primary concern is to buy a product that will produce maximum heat without taking up too much physical space. Indeed, patio areas are typically very compact, which can cause problems when entertaining a number of guests. In this respect, hosts tend to favour minimalistic fire pits, chimineas and free-standing traditional patio heaters. One commonly overlooked product, however, is the table top patio heater.
Table top patio heaters are specifically designed with space conservation in mind. As their name suggests, the primary function of these products is to provide sufficient heat whilst resting on top of outdoor patio tables. This requires that they must be small, lightweight and portable. Typically, the table top patio heater will measure no more than 50-60cm in diameter at its base and under 100cm in height.
So, consider an average British summer time gathering in an equally average back garden. There are a handful of guests milling around a modestly sized patio, which is nevertheless large enough to accommodate a sturdy bench, table and a large barbecue. The sun is beginning to set but the sausages are still to be incinerated and there remains enough alcohol to keep a small brewery in business for a few days. The outdoor lights come on but, in true British fashion, the weather decides to throw a chilly northeasterly breeze at proceedings. Very soon, people are feeling more than a little uncomfortable around the table and some are looking for an excuse to go inside or even leave! What would a good host do such a situation? Of course, he or she would rush indoors, grab the table top patio heater and quickly place it on the table or even at one end of the patio.
Indeed, once the guests are sitting down to eat, their close proximity to the heater (which should be positioned centrally) ought to provide a warmth that a traditional patio heater could not provide in those circumstances. Furthermore, assuming that the heater is placed on the table and not on the patio itself, there is reduced risk that the token ‘all drink and no sausages’ guest will become ensnared on it whilst desperately making their way to the flowerbed… Moreover, good quality table top patio heaters come equipped with a guard over the burner to protect against harm to animals, birds, children and, crucially, drunken guests.
In summary, if you need a quick and effective outdoor heating solution, look no further than table top patio heaters.
